On to Chapter 4....

Wow, this one is getting deep! I am on chapter 4 now. There is a twist in chapter three that I wasn't expecting! You know why I love to read? It's all the times when you really think you know what is coming next and then the total opposite happens! I am starting to see how this book unfolds though. I don't want to give anything away in case any of you want to buy it and read it, so I will refrain from saying anything about what the content between the covers, but, suffice it to say that it is getting harder and harder to put it down! I am a chapter reader (my own term!), which means that I can't stop reading a book unless I am at a chapter end! Last night, I had a raging headache. Travis made me go lay down and I took my book back to the bedroom and read. Even though I could barely see straight and I wanted to fall asleep, I made sure I read the WHOLE darn chapter! Not that Danielle Steel writes horrendously (is that even a word?) long chapters, but when your head hurts, two pages seem long! It was the twist chapter though, so I couldn't put it down, now could I? I didn't think so!
I want to start writing a short story or maybe even a long one, chapter by chapter per post. I can't start that until at least next week though because I have to write two papers this weekend, one that is 1000 words long and one that is only 200 words long. Neither are novels by any means, but they have to be done, nonetheless! It usually takes away any fun writing that I want to do! I have an idea for a story in my head (actually I wrote the idea down several months ago) and I would love to start getting it down on paper. I am not sure that I want to butcher my dream story by allowing it to be my first posted story on here! We'll see what happens I guess! Maybe I will have some more ideas over the weekend.

"Amazing Grace" Book #1 of 2009

It is my goal this year to read at least 10 books (this doesn't include textbooks because I don't always read those! SHHHH!!! Don't tell my professors, ok?). Now, that might not sound like a lot, but hey, goals can be revised, right? We can always raise that goal should we need to!

One thing that I have always felt is important is the art of reading. I have definately instilled the love of reading into at least one of my children. I would give anything for the other two to pick up on it and not just "Bathroom Readers"! ;-) They love those! I have been adamant that they should read what they like, not necessarily what adults always wish they would read. I have always felt as though "making" a child read things they don't love is defeating the purpose.

This is my first book! Danielle Steel has been one of my all time favorite authors for probably 18 years now. I can't even begin to tell you how many of her books I have read, but suffice it to say that I have a hard time finding ones I haven't read!

So far, I have only read the first chapter in "Amazing Grace". You should really check it out especially if you like romance novels with a touch of drama. Danielle Steel is the kind of writer that is hard to get tired of! Enjoy!!!!
